Ford Dagenham Plant

We have loaded 453 machines from the Ford Dagenham car plant direct onto a break bulk ship, with its final destination, China.

For this project we supplied all of our own skilled men, to lift and secure all of the machines from quayside into the hull of the vessel.

This project took a total of 15 days working around the clock 24/7. Our team consisted of 4 crane drivers, 4 signal men and 16 riggers (including welders) who lashed and secured the machines.

In order to load the first machine weighing 180 ton two cranes were used in sync. The remaining pieces were loaded and had an average weight of 60 ton. Various lashing equipment was used including 20 ton sea safe chains, 10 ton ratchet straps and wire rope.
