Caravan Loading

Caravans are in demand all over the world; both static and towing caravans. We load and handle both, we recently loaded a shipment of 10 static caravans which were being shipped to Australia. Due to Australia regulations we had to ensure that there is no dirt on the caravans. If there was dirt present then the caravans was fully washed before loading.

The difficulty in these loads is the structure of the caravan being very bottom heavy with very little structure from the top. Hence the lifting and the securing elements need to come from underneath. The caravans are blocked and braced from each end and then secured direct to the flatrack.

Smaller caravans can load two to a 40 standard container depending on dimensions. As you can imagine it is a very tight fit loading caravans therefore we protect protect the windows similarly to below.
