46 Tonne Stone Crushers

We recently loaded 2 x 46 ton stone crushers. The first aspect in loading something this heavy is to make sure that appropriate flat rack is available. This cargo has not been designed specifically for transportation, therefore it doesn’t have standard lifting and securing points that you see elsewhere.

The team have to assess the cargo and draw up a individual lift plan for each load. This will also detail how the cargo will be secured onto each flatrack. Once loaded, they were put on Mafi’s for safe shunting to the port.
